About The Position

This position is responsible for all service-related activities with OEM vendors, maintenance, repair, spare parts inventory, biomedical equipment, and physical plant repair & maintenance. The technician must work closely with and be responsive to Clinic and ASC operations management, IT, real estate and purchasing. Qualified candidates will have a strong technical background which may include an associate degree or military training in electronics, Mechanical or biomedical technology. The role is with EyeCare Partners, the nation’s leading provider of clinically integrated eye care, with a mission to enhance vision, advance eye care and improve lives across over 650 ECP-affiliated practice locations in 18 states and 80 markets.

Requirements

  • Ability for basic to intermediate problem solving, including mathematics

  • Basic to intermediate computer operation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Travel to other site locations may be necessary. Thus, those needing to travel for work must have access to dependable transportation, and driving record must meet company liability carrier standards
  • Specialty knowledge of systems/equipment relating to job function
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines
  • Manual dexterity required - ability to use common hand tools and small power equipment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely move large/bulky equipment.
  • Ability to create a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in the employee’s state of residence required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in electronics, industrial maintenance/ biomedical technology, or equivalent
  • Previous medical office experience
  • Previous ophthalmic experience
  • Prior experience working in a mechanical, automotive, or construction industry, or medical technical setting
  • Basic Medical Equipment Knowledge
