Responsibilities Performs inspections, planned maintenance, and minor repairs on medical equipment as assigned by Biomedical Equipment Technician Lead. Performs duties in accordance with current policies and procedures. Uses tools appropriately and maintains tools and work area in clean and usable condition. Completes work orders with complete information in an accurate and timely manner. Updates equipment records as identified during completion of work orders. Communicates and/or initiates orders for materials needed for completion of work orders. Researches and provides vendor part numbers for needed items. Obtains and processes packing slip/service receipt for all purchased items or services. Coordinates activities with customers, supervisors, and co-workers using effective communication and inter-personal skills Maintains an individual educational profile, which documents that educational requirements are met. Participates in educational programs, in-services, and department meetings. Takes initiative to advance and apply knowledge of medical equipment operation, testing, maintenance and repair. Assists in training equipment users in safe use of medical equipment. Qualifications Education/Experience: Associate’s degree or equivalent in biomedical or electronics technology from college or technical school. OR Equivalent training and experience required. Skills: Effective English communication skills (both verbally and in writing). Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions. Knowledge of electronic equipment. Licensure Current valid applicable driver’s license and a driving record that meets insurance carrier requirements. Pay Range USD $32.31 - USD $46.20 /Hr. Requirements
