Sodexo’s growing Healthcare Technology Management Division is seeking solution-oriented candidates who excel at customer service as a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to support Healthcare Technology services. What You'll Do Inspects, maintains, repairs and calibrates equipment and systems Provides support of equipment for direct patient care Interacts on a routine basis with clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solutions Solves organization-level customer service issues and complaints Preparing required documentation and reports Ensures regulatory compliance Demonstrates a safety mindset

Requirements

  • a minimum of 1 years' of experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices independently and/or academic training that is comparable
  • experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • the ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices
  • excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
  • a valid driver's license
  • the ability to work on-site in Brooklyn, NY
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment and/or equivalent of military BMET program and/or AAMI certified

Nice To Haves

  • an Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Technology and/or related field experience utilizing Phillips Monitoring Systems is highly preferred
