About The Position

The Biomedical Equipment Tech I position at HonorHealth involves performing preventive and minor maintenance on various biomedical and electronic equipment used in patient care. The technician will utilize their knowledge of electronics and mechanical systems to troubleshoot and repair equipment, ensuring high-quality care is delivered in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Basic Electronics, AC/DC theory courses or equivalent formal training.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronics troubleshooting, including motors, controls, and relays.
• Valid Driver's License and insurable.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled minor maintenance on biomedical and electronic equipment.
• Conduct testing on electrical and mechanical systems to locate defective parts.
• Use specialized test equipment and hand tools for maintenance tasks.
• Solder and unsolder connections and components as needed.
• Adjust functional parts of electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and steam/water control devices.
• Isolate minor defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment.
• Inspect and test electric lighting, AC and DC motors, and power circuits.
• Dismantle, move, install, or repair mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Install and repair electric and electronic recording devices according to manufacturer's specifications.
• Resolve routine product or service problems to ensure customer satisfaction.
