About The Position

Make a difference in the lives of patients by fixing equipment that's integral in helping them recover. We are seeking a Biomedical Engineering Technician II to: Perform and record preventive maintenance of equipment through periodic performance checks and measurements. Diagnose and implement repairs both in shop and critical care settings including operating rooms, trauma units, emergency rooms, and various other patient care areas in a timely manner to minimize down time. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field Required
  • Two (2) years of related experience would be considered in lieu of degree in addition to experience below
  • 1 year experience working with biomedical, electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment Required
  • Valid driver’s license in the person’s state of residence
  • Must be 21 years of age or have three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Patient/Visitor Vehicle or UW Health Vehicle other than a golf cart or utility terrain vehicle
  • Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering Preferred
  • 2 years previous experience as Biomedical Engineering Technician or electronics related technical field experience Preferred
  • OEM or computer system certifications applicable to UW Health Preferred
