As a Biomedical Engineering Intern, you will perform targeted rounding in active patient areas to recover assets for processing and redistribution. You will help clean, inspect, and evaluate medical devices and equipment. This is a part-time, 16-week Fall Semester internship, from 7:30am-3:30pm, with flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Student enrolled in two-year or four-year degree program in Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital or logistics experience
  • Pursuing a Biomedical Engineering degree, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform targeted rounding in active patient areas to recover assets for processing and redistribution.
  • Clean, deliver, evaluate and inspect specified medical devices and equipment, such as infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, specialty carts and procedural trays.
  • Document work activity in an electronic database.
  • Order supplies, stock patient rooms and deploy supplies to units and departments.
