About the position
The Biomedical Engineer at ProHealth Care is responsible for the installation, maintenance, modification, demonstration, and repair of complex diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices. This role involves providing technical support and training to clinical departments, ensuring the effective use of medical technologies in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, modify, demonstrate, and repair complex diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices.
- Assist with training clinical departments on the use of medical devices.
- Provide technical support to clinical departments in the area of biomedical engineering.
- Perform advisory work to assist in the development of processes and procedures for clinical use of technologies.
Requirements
- Associates degree in electronics, biomedical equipment technology, or military training in biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent experience.
- Valid State of Wisconsin Driver's License with an acceptable driving record and at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to use own vehicle for travel between work sites during the workday.
- Previous biomedical engineering experience preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification(s) preferred: Biomed Equip Tech Cert (CBET), Lab Equipment Specialist Certification (CLES), Radiology Equipment Specialist Cert (CRES), Certification by the ICC (International Certification Commission for Clinical Engineering and Biomedical Technology).
