Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or in a related technical/scientific field or combination of related experience and education to include military BMET experience
  • Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of medical devices/systems and maintenance considerations
  • Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: Force Management System Web Site (FMSWeb); Web Federal Logistics Information System (WebFLIS); Theater Enterprise Wide Logistics System (TEWLS); DLA Medical Master Online (DMMonline) to include Defense Medical Logistics Item Identification System (DMLIIS); Cloud Equipping (cQuiP) module located in the Army Clinical Patient Review and Oversight Business Environment (C-PROBE) system or Computerized Optimization Model for Predicting and Analyzing Support Structures (COMPASS)
  • Attributes for Success: Excellent communications, writing, organizational and project management skills
  • Experience, knowledge and the ability to execute using Microsoft Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as Microsoft Outlook
  • US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities

  • Work with Project/Product Managers, Logistics Managers, other Engineers, and End-Users to provide Life Cycle support for multiple medical and non-medical products, programs, and systems.
  • Perform National Stock Number (NSN) maintenance requests (e.g., request NSNs and reinstatements, request Acquisition Advice Code (AAC) changes, etc.)
  • Conduct Line-Item Number (LIN) maintenance (e.g., initiate and amend Table of Organizational Elements Basis of Issue Plan and Feeder Data [BOIPFD], retiring LINs, and linking NSNs to LINs).
  • View/edit catalog information, place orders, create stock transfer orders, view purchase history, make changes within Bill of Materials (BOMs), and a wide variety of other actions.
  • Research unit and LIN authorization, requirements, various reports, and BOIPs.
  • Schedule military and contractors for service training schools.
  • Liaison between manufacturers and clients to ensure biomedical equipment is fully mission capable.
  • Assist with writing and developing technical manuals.
  • Determine if an item is available in Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Electronic Catalog (ECAT).
  • Verify pricing for the item in ECAT.
  • Verify contract expiration date.
  • Submit a Product Sourcing Request (PSR) to request an item be placed on ECAT or on Distribution and Pricing Agreement Registration (DAPA).
  • Assist in fielding Siemen CTs and other equipment domestically and globally.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
