The Health Sciences Academic Services and Facilities’ (HSAS&F), Scientific Instruments (SI) unit has opportunities for a Biomedical Electronics Technician 1. SI provides services that support patient care, laboratory and research equipment for University, state, federal and other publicly funded agencies. Services include technology management, regulatory compliance, preventive maintenance, routine or emergency repairs, and design and prototype development. SI is a self-sustaining unit. Major customers include UW Medical Center, Laboratory Medicine, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, UW Physicians Neighborhood Clinics, Harborview Medical Center and NW Hospital. The BMET 1 will perform entry-level Biomedical Electronics work such as troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, testing and calibrating a variety of analog, digital and electromechanical instruments used in healthcare, clinical laboratories and medical research.
