That is why we need you, an experienced Biomedical Aging Advisor who can analyze opportunities, evaluate and manage proposals, provide research and strategic insight, and deliver high-quality support. As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical advisor to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. Work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies. You'll serve as a Biomedical Aging Advisor helping clients to develop stakeholder management strategies, establish new business processes, and complete research and analysis to determine viable solutions. You will be responsible for managing incoming requirements, facilitating engagements within offices and across the Agency, and is readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success. This position is a Hybrid role with Booz Allen. Candidate is expected to work on-site at a Booz Allen or Client Facility 20-50% of your time, as needed.

  • Conduct comprehensive landscaping of unmet needs in regenerative medicine, aging, metabolism and inflammation to identify high-impact funding opportunities.
  • Engage with cross-disciplinary teams and external partners to align funding initiatives with industry needs and commercialization potential; coordinate with clinical teams to incorporate biobank and personalized medicine perspectives into funding program design.
  • Work with Technology Transfer teams to identify patentable methodologies arising from funded projects and support commercialization discussions.
  • Design, develop, and evaluate funding programs, including defining scope, eligibility criteria, and evaluation metrics, to support innovative research in health-related fields.
  • Utilize expertise in aging, tissue engineering, disease modeling, and target discovery to critically evaluate proposals involving multi-omics integration, in vivo genetics, and mechanistic validation, and leverage domain expertise to guide the development of novel molecular tools.
  • Integrate multi-omics data to inform funding priorities and validate proposed research directions.
  • 10+ years of experience in biomedical research, including advancing programs from discovery to proof-of-concept.
  • Experience in regenerative medicine, aging, and inflammation, and tissue engineering, disease modeling, and target discovery.
  • Experience in securing competitive research funding.
  • Experience with intellectual property management, including patent drafting and commercialization discussions.
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in multi-omics integration, vivo pre-clinical models, genetics, and high-throughput screening methodologies.
  • Ability to show publication records in high-impact journals such as Nature, Science, or Cell Stem Cell.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex research programs.
  • Doctorate degree in a Biomedical Sciences or Molecular Biology field.
  • Experience with IRB approvals and clinical team coordination for biobank development.
  • Experience in advanced imaging, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, and genetic manipulation techniques.
  • Experience with technology transfer offices and industry partners for commercialization efforts.
  • Experience delivering invited talks at international conferences.
  • Experience in interacting and communicating with senior-level executives, including SES or GS-15.
  • Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced start-up environment.
