Biomed Utility Technician Position Overview This position is for a Biomedical Utility Technician with a compensation rate of $19 per hour. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, offering regular business hours with no weekend work required.

Requirements

  • Strong technical troubleshooting abilities that can be demonstrated
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience with medical devices within McKesson biomedical service scope
  • Broad knowledge of various hospital and homecare medical equipment
  • Excellent customer communication skills
  • Computer literacy with database operations understanding
  • Ability to operate specialized test equipment for medical devices
  • Working knowledge of electronics, electricity, electro-mechanical systems, fluidics, pulmonology, pneumatics, and hydraulic theories
  • Strong work ethic and quality focus
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all personnel levels
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus despite interruptions
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Professional demeanor with a mature sense of accountability
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as directed by Biomedical leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in an electronic field (preferably biomedical)
  • Equivalent military experience is also acceptable

Responsibilities

  • Performing repairs on various biomedical equipment
  • Staying updated with new products and technologies in the biomedical industry
  • Conducting preventative maintenance (PM's) as needed
  • Mentoring and teaching entry-level technicians (BMET 1) and PM personnel
  • Serving as a liaison between the company and customers to resolve technical issues
  • Participating in the department's on-call rotation
  • Maintaining a clean and organized service area
  • Ensuring accurate database entries and reports
