About The Position

Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate bio-medical and other electronic equipment. Perform minor electrical and/or mechanical repairs, along with any other duties assigned. Perform periodic, functional and electrical safety checks on bio-medical equipment. Maintain bio-medical equipment supplies inventory and equipment records. Demonstrate knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS standards. Assist director in keeping compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards. Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences. Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of testing, operation, and maintenance of bio-medical equipment as normally acquired through two years of formal education and training in bio-medical equipment technology or closely related electronics training preferred.
  • 5 years of hospital bio-medical experience with repairing all types of equipment and moderate level of analytical ability is preferred.
  • Must be able to use a multi-meter and amp meter and be able to manage multiple calls to assist other technicians/mechanics at once.
  • Once trained applicant must be willing to take call every other week.
