Biomed Equipment Technician I
About The Position
This position performs preventive maintenance on generic, complex, and designated clinical equipment, and performs corrective action on all clinical equipment located in designated specialized areas such as advanced biomed, telephony, imaging, pneumatics, and computer applications. This is the senior-level position working under limited supervision. Work situations are a combination of routine and varied functions which require excellent technical skill in the area of bio-medical engineering, problem solving, and decision making. Internal contacts include staff and management through the medical center. External contacts may include vendors and supplier.
Requirements
- Two years vocational or college training in Biomedical Electronics Technology, or four years recent experience in electronics
- Completion of course or schooling on specific equipment in designated area
- Valid Washington State Driver License
- Minimum six (6) years experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Extensive training on systems in designated area
