About The Position

The UHS HTM Medical Systems Engineering Technologist (MSET I) performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities, affiliates, and other institutions that have relationships either owned or contractual. Focuses his or her performance to ensure that all patients receive the safest and best possible experience while at the facilities serviced by the UHS HTM Program. Works under direct supervision. Delivers exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, nurses, technicians, administrators and all persons who are contacted during the course of their service. Delivers service that meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements and compliance for the position held. Assists UHS HTM leadership with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships. Responsible for executing and meeting all requirements of the established key performance indicators (KPI’s).

Requirements

  • Technical School, 2 Years College, or Associate’s Degree required.
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience required.
  • Experience with healthcare technology management programs.
  • Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc.).
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local).
  • Advanced/Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), experience with CMMS products.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skills.
