As a Biomechanical Engineering Expert at Robson Forensic, you will apply the scientific and engineering principles of bioengineering and biomechanics to investigate incidents involving claimed injuries or fatalities due to various events. Your role will involve analyzing and evaluating the technical and scientific aspects of incidents, injuries, and medical device failures, and writing clear, scientifically sound reports. You will also provide expert testimony, delving into the technical and scientific aspects of incidents to determine how and why an injury occurred from a purely physical standpoint. This includes analyzing the forces and motions involved to assess whether the alleged injuries are consistent with the event. Areas of investigation may include impact and injury biomechanics, orthopedic biomechanics, and events such as vehicle collisions, sports and recreation incidents, occupational injuries, assaults, and falls.
