About The Position

The Biology Instructor (Non-Majors) at Sierra College is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in General Biology and related disciplines to non-major students. This full-time, tenure-track position involves preparing lesson plans, conducting lectures and laboratory sessions, evaluating student performance, and participating in curriculum development. The instructor will also engage in shared governance activities and provide ancillary student services, contributing to the overall academic success and equity of the student body.

Requirements

• Master's degree in any biological science or a Bachelor's degree in any biological science with a Master's in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science.
• Valid California Class C or higher Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans for lectures and laboratory sessions.

• Participate in departmental meetings and shared governance activities.
• Hold regular office hours to provide academic support to students.
