About The Position

We are seeking motivated students to join our Summer 2026 Internship Program in Analytical Services. This internship offers hands-on laboratory experience supporting environmental monitoring, compliance, and stewardship efforts at one of South Carolina's largest utilities. Interns will work alongside experienced scientists and technicians, gaining exposure to biological testing, water quality analysis, and regulatory reporting.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Wildlife Management or other environmental related field of study
• Have completed their first year at a 2-year college/university (transfer program) or 4-year college/university
• Be enrolled as a full-time student Fall 2026
• Successfully undergo pre-employment physical and drug screen if selected for this position

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory testing of water, wastewater, and environmental samples
• Support biological surveys, sample collection, and field monitoring programs
• Perform data entry, analysis, and preparation of technical reports
• Gain exposure to environmental regulations and compliance requirements affecting utilities
