About The Position

Requirements

  • Degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
  • Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major in biological sciences plus appropriate experience or additional education.
  • One year specialized experience which includes conducting short- and long-range term field investigations to determine the impact of proposed projects on terrestrial and aquatic communities.

Responsibilities

  • Works on a wide range of environmental studies and support activities involving the ecology and biology of animals and plants with emphasis on ecologically or economically important species.
  • Plans and conducts short- and long-range term field investigations to determine the impact of proposed projects on terrestrial and aquatic communities.
  • Assists the Natural Resources Manager in writing, updating, and implementing measures required by various Biological Opinions.
  • Serves as a biologist engaged in the assessment of impacts of military construction projects providing special support in biology and associated ecology disciplines.
