The Department of Medicine is seeking a skilled, Bioinformatics Programmer to support a broad range of computational and data-driven research initiatives. This role translates complex computational theory into practical research applications and requires deep familiarity with advanced IT, scientific computing, and data science methodologies. In this role, you will leverage principles of computer science, data science, computational biology, and cyberinfrastructure to develop and refine research tools, pipelines, and software components. Responsibilities include designing and optimizing algorithms, supporting HPC- and data-intensive workflows, and contributing to the development and evaluation of emerging technologies in high-performance computing, data analytics, and cyberinfrastructure. This position plays a key role in enabling innovative computational research across the Department's diverse scientific programs. Hourly range: $37.60-$78.35
