About The Position

The Bioinformatics Data Specialist will support data integration, pipeline development, and data curation efforts to advance therapeutic research programs. This role will collaborate with bioinformaticians, data scientists, and data engineers to ensure the smooth flow of large-scale biological data within a centralized system. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and an enthusiasm for working at the intersection of data and science.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or a related field with 2–3 years of relevant experience; or
Master’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
Experience analyzing omics datasets (e.g., transcriptomics, proteomics, single-cell data).
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and version control tools like GitHub.
Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Background in Neuroscience.
Familiarity with AI/ML techniques or large language models (LLMs).

Responsibilities

Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines for omics and laboratory datasets, including NGS, proteomics, and spatial transcriptomics data.
Build and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest and manage internal and external datasets in a centralized data repository.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across databases and pipelines.
Support the implementation of analytical workflows for early target identification and evaluation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, bioinformaticians, and scientific teams to improve data accessibility and usability.
Communicate progress and findings clearly to key stakeholders and supervisors.
