The Systems Immunology and Immune Profiling Center (SI/IPC) team in Cambridge, Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled contractor with expertise in bioinformatics and computational biology, particularly in the area of proteomics analysis. This role emphasizes the analysis of complex datasets derived from advanced techniques such as Cytometry by Time Of Flight (CyTOF), Imaging Mass Cytometry (IMC), and Mass Spectrometry (MS). The successful candidate will be instrumental in analyzing internal datasets to support the identification of therapeutic targets for autoimmune and chronic inflammatory diseases. In this position, the analyst will perform advanced analysis of high-dimensional proteomics data, generating actionable insights into disease mechanisms. The role involves developing and optimizing computational workflows and pipelines for processing, analyzing, and interpreting proteomics datasets. Additionally, the analyst will engage in image-based quantification of proteins using IMC, focusing on the spatial distribution and co-localization of immune cells and other tissue components in situ. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including immunologists, data scientists, and biologists, is essential to interpret proteomics data and translate findings into preclinical and clinical research applications. The analyst will also be responsible for presenting complex analytical approaches and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating the scientific rationale and implications of their work. This position requires a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving in a dynamic, fast-paced research environment, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities. Contributions to the preparation of scientific publications, presentations for conferences, and regulatory submissions may also be expected.
