About The Position

Analyzes biological datasets generated by multiple to identify molecular insights related to disease mechanisms and disparities. This role involves developing and maintaining robust data analysis pipelines and collaborating with cross-functional research teams

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Bioinformatics or similar field required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Masters or Doctoral Degree in Bioinformatics or similar field.
• Experience in programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement bioinformatics workflows and pipelines.
• Perform quality control and preprocessing of high-throughput data.
• Maintain databases and utilize high-performance/cloud computing resources.
• Stay current with advancements in bioinformatics and related fields.
• Write clean, well-documented code following established standards.
• Use version control (Git/Github) for all project work.
• Apply appropriate statistical and machine learning methods and understand their limitations.
• Work with standard genomics file formats and conventions.
• Partner with researchers to understand biological questions and design analyses
• Participate in code review and collaborative development
• Use genome browsers and biological databases effectively
• Leverage AI tools appropriately while understanding their capabilities and limitations
• Stay current with advancements in bioinformatics and related fields.
• Document methods and results clearly for reproducibility.
• Contribute to manuscript preparation and figure generation.
• Present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain project repositories with comprehensive documentation.
