About The Position

We are seeking a Biochemical Characterization Scientist to join our team in Malvern, PA. This role supports pharmaceutical development through routine and advanced biochemical analyses of monoclonal antibodies and other biologics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LC/MS, peptide mapping, and protein characterization techniques.

Requirements

• BS in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience; or MS with 0-2 years of experience.
• Foundational knowledge of amino acids and protein structure.
• Experience with liquid chromatography (LC) and mass spectrometry (LC/MS).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain GxP-compliant laboratory notebooks and author technical memos.

Responsibilities

• Perform biochemical assays including peptide mapping, A280, LCMS, and size exclusion chromatography.
• Prepare and distribute samples for forced degradation studies and collect analytical data.
• Analyze and interpret results in accordance with departmental standards and regulatory expectations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of assay development, qualification, and experimental procedures.
• Support instrument maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
