Employee performs several duties with diagnostic imaging equipment maintenance, to include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, calibration and quality control testing. The employee also installs, inspects, analyzes, calibrates and repairs on all types of patient care equipment. Employee must have working knowledge of computers, multimeter, oscilloscope, high voltage test equipment and a variety of other electronic test equipment. Employee works with minimal supervision and provides training and information for level 1 service engineers, biomedical technicians and other medical staff as needed. They will also be required to take on special projects and see them to completion.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair imaging equipment.
  • Calibrate and conduct quality control testing on equipment.
  • Install and inspect patient care equipment.
  • Analyze and repair various types of biomedical equipment.
  • Provide training and information to level 1 service engineers and biomedical technicians.
  • Take on special projects and ensure their completion.
  • Associate Degree in Electronics Technology or Biomedical Engineering required.
  • In lieu of Associate Degree, military electronics training program or intensive vendor training specializing in biomedical and/or scientific related equipment may be considered.
  • 5-9 years experience as a service x-ray engineer or equivalent.
  • Working service and repair knowledge of various imaging equipment is preferred.
