Job Summary Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bio Imaging Technician to join our Digital Solutions (Pathology) team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end digitization of glass slides, ensuring the highest standards of quality control and operational efficiency to support critical diagnostic data management.

Requirements

  • Relevant Experience: Proven experience in laboratory settings or digital imaging; a background in histology or pathology is highly preferred. (Experience may be substituted for a degree).
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of digital scanning equipment, image QC protocols, and data management systems (e.g., JPIMS).
  • Problem-Solving & Agility: Proven ability in troubleshooting scanning equipment and managing shifting project priorities, such as equipment deployments and physical inventory diagnostics.
  • Education: An Associate Degree is preferred; must be eligible for a T1 Investigation (Security Clearance).

Nice To Haves

  • A background in histology or pathology is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Digitalization Operations: Execute the full lifecycle of slide scanning, from matching materials and prepping slides to performing 100% Quality Control (QC) before returning assets to requestors.
  • Data Systems Management: Seamlessly upload digital images into the Joint Pathology Information Management System (JPIMS) and maintain accurate spreadsheets to track customer requests and data transfers.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with Pathologists to apply statistical methods to identify operational bottlenecks, suggesting and implementing streamlined workflows and writing improved procedural manuals for scanning equipment.
