About The Position

The 4th year honours are two-term research projects completed under the supervision of a designated professor. Students take this course during their last full year of studies, during which they conduct a research project, present their results during a poster session, and submit a written thesis. The TA will work with the Course Coordinator at various steps along the year to collect the documents (submitted on the course Brightspace) and evaluations (submitted from Google forms).

Requirements

  • All University of Ottawa employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
  • The list of training requirements may be modified by provincial law.

Responsibilities

  • Fall term:
  • Create the student list from registration forms
  • Participate to the information session for the registered students
  • Verify the project outline
  • Participate to the information session for the 3rd year student (Research Café)
  • Winter term:
  • Verify the progress report
  • Organization of Poster Day
  • Create the abstract booklet
  • Assign the poster evaluators
  • Collect poster evaluations
  • Verify the thesis submission
  • Compile the grades from the thesis evaluators
