The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or G.E.D
• 21 years of age
• Ability to speak with a clear, audible voice
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
• Basic knowledge of bingo games
• Ability to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Ability to perform multiple tasks
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
• Ability to appear for work on time
• Ability to sit for up to eight hours at a time
• Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel
• Ability to read and complete forms and documents
• Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
• Ability to accept constructive criticism
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Conducts bingo games by calling and displaying each number, acknowledging when a bingo is called, verifying bingo validity, closing each game according to established procedures, and announcing the winning prize amount.
• Controls the pace of the game by visually monitoring and determining guest ability to stay with the game, adjusting game pace accordingly, and verbally communicating with bingo management and team members following established procedures.
• Maintains records of prize payouts and jackpots by calculating prize amounts, balancing total payouts with the money room, recording jackpot information in log book daily, and posting winning amounts on jackpot computer database.
• Promotes guest relations and retention by treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner, reading announcements, recording jackpot information message daily, and promptly notifying Bingo Floor Supervisor of any guest complaints.
• Keeps bingo equipment operational by cleaning bingo hoppers, fixing flash boards, and replacing burnt-out light bulbs on flashboard and bingo tables.
• Maintains bingo game efficiency by keeping adequate levels of bingo supplies and updated department forms and documents.
