Responsibilities
- Place moulds on line.
- Monitor moulds for spots and remove candy from mould when chocolate sticks.
- Remove moulds from line.
- Start shell room; verify machine set up and chocolate type according to schedule.
- Adjust oscillators to keep shells in 'spec' until relieved by relief operator.
- Verify proper amount of moulds are available.
- Place moulds on line, per schedule, with specific gaps in line for changeovers.
- Mould swap as instructed.
- Inspect moulds for spots or other defects and pull off line.
- Remove candy from mould when chocolate doesn't bang out.
- Monitor decorator switch for stringing marbleized pieces, and fill mini temper unit.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Adjust demoulder as needed.
- Back up Bindler Machine Operator Position.
- Train new employees as required.
- Comply with all safety policies, report safety violations, and attend team and safety meetings.
- Report problems regarding food safety to supervisor or manager.
- Maintain home department in a clean and orderly manner.
- Perform other related duties by leader or supervisor.
- Required to work until end of production shift daily.
Requirements
- Ability to perform each duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to add and subtract three or more digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Some mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to operate electric pallet jack and qualify for license.
