About The Position

Purpose: This position helps make gospel teachings, resources, or services
accessible to all in a simple and affordable way, supporting the mission of the
Church.

Performs machine bindery operations for hand-fed machines or smaller, less
complicated machines than those assigned to a bindery journeyman. Must work with
limited supervision or direction to maximize productive output and quality
control. Machinery may include but not limited to: manual punching and closing
equipment, inserting mechanical binding equipment, tipping equipment,
multi-spindle drills, hand stitchers and hand-fed automatic inserting or
collating equipment. The bindery worker 2 position will serve as a training
position for the journeyman-level bindery positions and may be used as a back-up
for short periods of time to cover for journeyman operators.

Promotion into a journeyman-level position is not an automatic or guaranteed
action from this position as journeyman-level positions are limited in number
and justified or created based on production requirements.
