About The Position

TPI is currently seeking a experienced Bindery Operators - 1st shift, to join our team onsite in Pennsauken, NJ. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with operating cutting and folding equipment. Saddle stitcher experience is a plus and will help candidates stand out. The Bindery Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining cutting and folding equipment within the Bindery Department to ensure precise, high-quality production of finished products. This role includes troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to strict quality control standards to meet production specifications.

Requirements

History of performing well under pressure.
Individual should be mechanically inclined and possess problem-solving skills.
Good communication and comprehension skills both written and verbal.
Team and goal oriented.
Must be very detail oriented.
Minimum of two (2) years of successful experience as a cutter or folder operator in a bindery setting.

Nice To Haves

Other bindery equipment operating experience a plus.
Saddle stitcher experience is a plus and will help candidates stand out.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate cutting and folding equipment according to work order
Perform maintenance, troubleshoot and resolve printing and mechanical challenges.
Visually inspect paper products throughout run for quality.
Meet schedules and tight deadlines while producing quality work.
Work closely with other team members to complete jobs in a timely manner.
Ability to work a full-time schedule including over-time during the week and some weekends.
Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Operate pallet jacks to move paper products on the production floor.
Other duties as assigned
