The Operator I, Bindery is responsible for bindery related activities such as cutting and folding in our Bindery Department.

Requirements

1 or more years of bindery or print production experience preferred
Experience with cutters, folders, stitchers, or inserters
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
Ability to read rulers, measurements, and job specifications accurately
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
High School Diploma or GED required; experience can be considered

Responsibilities

Set up and operate bindery equipment such as cutters, folders, stitchers, inserters, and binding machines
Read and interpret job tickets, work orders, and production schedules
Adjust machine settings to ensure proper alignment, cutting, folding, and binding
Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and consistency
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
Maintain production efficiency while minimizing waste
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Collaborate with press operators, mailing teams, and supervisors to meet deadlines
Accurately complete production and quality control documentation
