Freshly Printed: The Role You Have Been Looking For As a Bindery Operator , you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and basic maintenance of various printing and finishing equipment. This position supports both commercial print and wide format production involving printing, cutting, folding, inserting, collating, gluing, stitching , laminating, mounting, and sewing. The position plays a key role in ensuring image quality, color accuracy, and adherence to production specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. It offers a stable, hands-on role focused on precision, consistency, and dependable production outcomes.

Requirements

  • Quality-minded with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read and understand job tickets and production instructions
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attendance, work ethic, and reliability
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to operate equipment
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and job tracking
  • Ability to lift 50-60 lbs and perform pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, and standing for the entirety of the shift

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating machinery is preferred but not required - training is available for motivated candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate bindery, finishing, and wide format equipment according to job specifications
  • Stitch, punch, coil, cut, glue, laminate, mount, and grommet materials
  • Follow job tickets and written instructions to meet customer requirements
  • Perform routine cleaning, basic preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Enter time and material data into production tracking systems
  • Maintain image quality, color accuracy, and overall production standards
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines
  • Follow standard work practices and maintain a safe work environment
