About The Position

Varsity Spirit, A Varsity Achievement Brand, is looking to hire a Folder 1st Shift Associate. As a member of the Yearbook Bindery Production Team, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment printing high school and college yearbooks to help our customers celebrate some of their greatest achievements. While you’ll lean heavily on your technical abilities, your greatest asset will be your drive and commitment to quality and safety. Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Experience working in a high-volume shipping dock.
Able to cooperate and work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
HS Diploma or GED (required)
1 - 2 years’ experience in a warehouse/ manufacturing setting
Proven ability to excel in a high production manufacturing environment which focuses on safety, quality control, and organization
Previous success maintaining a strong attendance and on time record
Must be very comfortable with Microsoft Office, with extensive experience with Microsoft Excel

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus
Preference will be given to candidates with previous related experience
Experience folding large, printed signatures with MBO or Heidelberg folding machines a plus!
High mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret documents such as tracking sheets, order confirmation sheets and work orders
