About The Position

RRD is seeking an experienced Bindery Operator to join our team. This position is eligible for a $2,000 Sign On Bonus! We have openings on the 2nd and 3rd shifts, with training provided on the 1st shift. The Bindery Operator will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating assigned binding equipment, including inkjet and mailing devices, case making and decorating equipment, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding/gluing machines. The operator may also set up automatic bindery machines that contain multiple functions and station capabilities. Safety inspections of equipment are required, and the operator will monitor quality, output, and productivity.

Requirements

• Familiarity with different paper weights, sizes, kinds and colors.
• Basic mathematics skills to understand dimensional requirements.
• Ability to use standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Skill in making adjustments to powered machines using handtools.
• Ability to read and interpret written work instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of operating procedures for bindery equipment.
• Working knowledge of the setup, adjustment, procedures, capabilities and limitations of equipment.

Responsibilities
