RRD is seeking a skilled operator for our 2nd shift to set up, adjust, and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines. These machines include several cutting heads, control surfaces, and other attachments such as inkjet and mailing devices, case making and decorating equipment, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding/gluing machines. The operator may also set up automatic bindery machines that contain multiple functions and station capabilities, which can be electromechanically combined with other equipment to produce a complete bindery and finishing unit. This unit processes printed sheets into final products such as books, catalogs, manuals, directories, and magazines. The role involves inspecting equipment for safety issues, operating automatic adhesive binding machines, making necessary adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations, directing crew through all aspects of production, and monitoring quality, output, and productivity.
