About The Position

The Bindery / Finishing Tech I position at Xpressdocs is a crucial role within the Operations team, focusing on the finishing processes in a fast-paced digital print environment. The technician will be responsible for operating various finishing equipment, ensuring high-quality production that meets order specifications, and maintaining equipment efficiency. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of printing processes and the ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of the printing industry and printing processes.
• Ability to operate finishing equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of bindery/finishing equipment such as Guillotine, Various Folders, Horizon Saddle Stitcher, Perfect Binders, Coating Equipment, Rotary Die Cutter, and Shrink Wrap.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude.

Nice To Haves

• Equipment repair experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and follow job specifications for equipment set-ups and materials needed.
• Willingness to train and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understand standard operating procedures of the department and follow them consistently.
• Make adjustments to equipment based on job requirements.
• Perform routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
• Route, stage, and document product moved from machine.
• Inspect and stack final product.
