About The Position

Tesla is looking for an experienced BIM VDC Engineer with advanced Revit expertise to lead our Building Information Modeling Virtual design and Construction workflows and streamline design activities within our federated model. The ideal candidate will manage Revit templates, drawing setups, and QA/QC processes, while coordinating clash detection and stakeholder collaboration. Coding experience (C#, Python, etc.) and database integration will be a plus for automating workflows and integrating databases with BIM models. Manage projects via Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for version control and collaboration

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of BIM management experience with Revit expertise
• Proficiency in clash detection tools (Navisworks, Revizto) and ACC/BIM 360
• Experience with Power BI or Other data visualize tool
• Knowledge of BIM Level of Development (LOD) Standard
• Experience with 3D laser scanning, point cloud data, or as-built modeling
• Experience with coding in C#, Python, or SQL for workflow automation

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize master libraries, including Revit templates, families, parameters, keynotes, etc. to support multi-disciplinary project setups
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and any stakeholders to ensure accurate information in exchange, model alignment, and custom families development
• Conduct model audits, resolve technical issues. Ensure compliance with BIM standards and database best practices across teams
• Assist in estimating project costs and quantities using BIM data for material takeoffs, budget analysis, and resource planning
• Perform clash detection with Revizto or Navisworks; automate reporting and resolution workflows
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary solutions to optimize design intent
