About The Position

As a BIM technician, you will work under the close supervision of the BIM Manager and develop your engineering knowledge to produce multidisciplinary BIM Models and drawings. Supporting our engineering teams, you will be responsible for creating drawings from markups and ensuring the output meets the required standards and procedures.

Requirements

Ability to read and understand engineering mark-up drawings
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify inconsistencies or coordination issues
Experience using Revit to produce engineering 3D models and drawings. Navigate the project browser, ribbon, and settings. Knowledge of view templates, filters and worksets. Use of standard families/blocks
Experience using AutoCAD to produce 2D drawings
Computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Certificate, Associate’s Degree or higher from a college or university in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or other engineering-related discipline
Experience in working within teams is essential for this role
Attention to Detail: careful attention to incorporation of engineer’s/designer’s mark-ups and use of company engineering standards
Communication: both written and verbal communication skills are required to coordinate efforts, validate understanding, and learn and grow within this role

Responsibilities

Develop engineering drawings
Assist the BIM Lead with setup of drawing sheets
Incorporate designs developed by the engineers/designers into Revit or AutoCAD
Time management and meeting agreed deadlines set by the team
Self-development of their career and actively learning from others, taking advantage of formal training and development, applying relevant academic or industry knowledge, and asking for help when needed
