About The Position

The BIM Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving the organization’s Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards, templates, and workflows. This role provides technical support, training, and project assistance to ensure consistent, accurate, and efficient use of BIM tools across project teams. The position is hands-on and focuses on execution, quality, and user support rather than personnel or team leadership.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, technical training, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of AEC industry experience, including 3+ years in an architecture or engineering environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit (2020 or newer).
  • Experience with Navisworks, Revisto, and other 3D software.
  • Experience with collaboration platforms such as ACC, Newforma, or Bluebeam.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft platforms and basic network environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and ability to support users tactfully.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and consistency.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Dynamo, Python, or other BIM-related scripting tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update BIM standards, templates, families, and libraries.
  • Ensure models and documentation follow established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform periodic quality checks on project models and digital deliverables.
  • Support file management, plotting standards, and digital submission requirements.
  • Assist project teams with model setup, modeling tasks, and documentation needs.
  • Support the development of plans, elevations, sections, and details within Revit.
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings to identify BIM requirements and setup needs.
  • Create or modify Revit families and content based on project demands.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to BIM users at varying skill levels.
  • Support onboarding of new staff on BIM tools and standards.
  • Conduct internal coordination sessions to address common issues and reinforce best practices.
  • Troubleshoot BIM-related questions and software issues.
  • Maintain Revit software installations, updates, and configurations in coordination with IT.
  • Manage plug-ins, add-ins, and supporting BIM tools.
