Job DetailsJob Location: Conshohocken, PA 19428Responsibilities: LEADERSHIP Lead the development of a multi-office BIM strategy and its implementation utilizing Revit and other BIM components. Provide leadership and direction to the Project BIM Managers assigned to projects across our offices. Provide leadership in the research of emerging technologies, design software, and opportunities within our industry for firm-wide BIM practices. Assist project teams as required to achieve seamless integration of BIM between our design and construction partners. Lead multi-disciplinary project teams in cross-discipline coordination and systems integration. Act as an ambassador for company-wide values and ethical standards of practice. Support project teams with issues associated with troubleshooting software/design files, discipline coordination/clash detection, and the exchange/coordination of building models with consultants, contractors and vendors. Assist with the integration of project data and communication management from Newforma into the Office 365/Sharepoint environment. MANAGEMENT Play a key role along with our IT team to recommend, review, and influence the hardware and software requirements needed to most effectively perform high-quality work. Monitor Building Information Modeling (BIM) software utilization and help guide BIM software purchasing and licensing for all office locations. STAFF DEVELOPMENT/TRAINING Provide training and mentorship to staff members to achieve and maintain a high level of technical expertise in the use of Revit software. Lead in-house training and coordinate third-party training as deemed necessary and appropriate. Lead the effort to create a company-wide design technology training program, utilizing feedback from colleagues and staff, to be used across offices and disciplines. Support Information Technology as a helpdesk resource for user troubleshooting and problem solving. QUALITY Conduct BIM-based quality control reviews at major project milestones. Help to develop and maintain firm-wide model templates to facilitate proper project startup. Attend project kickoff meetings, as appropriate, to assist project teams in optimizing the use of building models, integrating design and estimating processes into the models, and addressing unique client delivery requirements. Develop framework of execution that continues to develop and maintain our office standards, templates, and libraries. Handle the roll-out of program updates and assist with troubleshooting problems that occur with BIM software components. Work closely with the other discipline leaders to produce firm-wide procedures and guidelines that conform to industry standards, our firm's culture, and emerging best practices. Expand our BIM capabilities beyond Revit by integrating other software that can help provide opportunities for additional design excellence in areas such as clash detection, energy modeling, site modeling, etc., specifically the integration of E-Spec and Navisworks. Qualifications Architectural background (Bachelor's Degree in Architecture preferred). Approximately 10 years of experience leading project teams in the use of Revit to produce contract documents and building models. 3 years of previous BIM Leadership/Management experience preferred. Proficiency in current versions of Revit, E-Spec, SketchUp, Navisworks, Visualization Platforms, Newforma, Microsoft Windows/Office Suite/SharePoint and other standard office software packages. Advanced knowledge in a wide range of BIM programs and applicable techniques. Able to work with Information Technology and Leadership to aid in developing the network infrastructure required to fully utilize our office software. Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate well, with a positive attitude and a tactful approach while working with diverse personalities, both internally and externally. Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams in cross-discipline coordination and systems integration. Strong team collaboration skills but also must be able to provide strong leadership and initiative and work independently when required. Strong written and oral communication skills, employs effective listening skills and has an enthusiasm and commitment to mentoring. Strong work ethic, self-initiative, high level of integrity, dependability and results driven orientation. Strong organizational skills. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
