Your Opportunity The BIM Manager is an advanced, project- and office-facing role responsible for owning and approving project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and ensuring compliance with established BIM standards on large, complex, multidisciplinary projects. They provide delivery accountability, coaching, and mentorship for BIM Coordinators and Model Managers across multiple studios and market sectors. This role bridges day-to-day project planning and coordination with oversight of BIM processes, quality, and staffing under the guidance of a Senior BIM Manager or firmwide BIM leadership. This role is ideal for candidates who demonstrate clear experience and accomplishment, with defined authority over BIM workflows, execution planning, and model quality.

Requirements

  • Experience developing complex BIM Execution Plans
  • Advanced organizational, communication, and mentoring skills
  • Ability to independently prioritize tasks, schedules, and responsibilities
  • Degree or certificate in Architecture, Engineering, BIM, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive BIM production and/or coordination experience
  • Expertise in Revit; strong working knowledge of ACC and Navisworks
  • Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor, guide, and support BIM Coordinators and discipline Model Managers
  • Lead BIM execution planning and refinement of project BIM Execution Plans
  • Enforce BIM standards, naming conventions, and coordination protocols
  • Define BIM coordination cadence/agenda standards, facilitate meetings, and resolve escalations across disciplines
  • Oversee model audits and quality control reviews
  • Manage BIM deliverables, schedules, and coordination milestones
  • Serve as the accountable BIM point of contact for Project Managers
  • Coach and mentor BIM staff and contribute to training initiatives
  • Support adoption of BIM tools, automation, and improved workflows
  • Owns project-level BIM execution and coordination decisions
  • Accountable for BIM execution outcomes across multiple projects and staff
  • Does not author firmwide BIM standards or strategy independently
  • Escalates cross-office or strategic issues to Senior BIM Managers
