The Role Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a BIM Manager to help advance and unify our global BIM production strategy as part of the Digital Design team. This role partners with office directors, project managers, and regional BIM teams to ensure consistent, high-quality BIM execution across structural engineering projects, including BIM execution planning, Revit standards, QA/QC, workflow optimization, and staff development. The Corporate BIM Manager also contributes to firmwide Digital Design strategy, supports proposals and BIM Execution Plans, and helps shape training and best practices across the organization. This is a full-time role with flexibility in home office location, with a preference for proximity to a larger TT office.

Requirements

  • Advanced Revit expertise (Autodesk Certification a plus)
  • 10+ years in a BIM-related role supporting structural AEC documentation
  • 5+ years leading BIM teams on complex or large-scale projects
  • Experience authoring BIM standards, workflows, and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
  • Experience with ACC/BIM 360, Bluebeam Revu/Studio, and Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of tools such as Navisworks, Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, or Tekla Structures is a plus
  • BIM-related certifications (e.g., CM-BIM) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Implement and support global BIM and Digital Design standards and workflows
  • Oversee BIM execution on projects, including Revit modeling, documentation, and QA/QC
  • Develop BIM execution strategies and participate in kickoff and coordination meetings
  • Serve as the primary Revit contact and provide first-line technical support
  • Review and optimize project workflows and tool usage
  • Mentor BIM staff and identify training and development needs
  • Create and maintain BIM standards, Revit families, and templates
  • Support BIM training curriculum development and delivery
  • Assist with RFPs, BIM Execution Plans, and firmwide BIM initiatives
