About The Position

The BIM Manager will perform activities related to Digital Construction and Information Management in the project. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the BIM Manager will be part of a team that will support him/her on those activities. Information Management activities include ensuring the development and compliance of project requirements in accordance with the Exchange Information Requirements (EIR), Project BIM Execution Plan, the Information Management Plan and other related documentation. Digital Construction responsibilities involve performing quality control on models and resulting deliverables, leading the spatial coordination and clash detection process, and enhancing the integration of the different parties involved in the project. This is an exciting opportunity to explore additional uses of new technologies, tools and software in the construction industry.

Requirements

  • Experience in BIM roles.
  • In-depth working knowledge of BIM management in infrastructure projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use time productively and meet challenging work goals.
  • Proactive approach in incorporating new technologies on site.
  • Experience in reviewing and implementing processes for setting up CDE platform.
  • Expert level in Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, and Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
  • Intermediate/Expert level in Office 365.
  • Experience in working with point clouds and topographical survey information.
  • Experience in working with GIS environment and integration of CAD information into GIS.
  • Ability to identify project risks and implement mitigation actions.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Asite.
  • Experience working with GIS shapefiles.
  • Experience in handover and asset integration procedures.
  • Working knowledge of FC approach to the global digitalization strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and updating documentation including Lead Appointed Party EIR, BEP, MIDP, guides and protocols throughout all phases of the project.
  • Ensures that all design, construction and handover information is compliant with the contract requirements and applicable standards.
  • Act as the focal point for all design, construction and handover information management issues on the project.
  • Serve as the contact point between the design and construction teams.
  • Ensure processes are fully compliant across the project.
  • Develop relevant documentation for briefings of the BIM Execution Plan during design, construction and handover phases.
  • Liaise with the document control manager and contribute to set up the CDE according to project procedures.
  • Prepare documentation needed by the client in O&M.
  • Coordinate design, construction and handover information requirements.
  • Capture lessons learned, best practices, and innovations.
  • Produce monthly reports to identify and measure information management & digital construction implementation.
  • Support the development and delivery of training programmes for team members and supply chains.
  • Quality control BIM / CAD deliverables.
  • Lead the spatial coordination process and clash detection meetings.
  • Produce models to support design and construction works.
  • Deliver presentations internally and externally as required.
  • Manage the commercial aspects of the digital tools used for the activity.
