About The Position

TRC Worldwide Engineering, Inc. is seeking a BIM Manager to join our Structural Engineering Group in Brentwood, TN. The BIM Manager will be responsible for interpreting construction documents to create detailed 3-D models for building and maintaining structures. This role involves developing detailed designs for various structures, specifying dimensions, materials, and procedures, and drawing minute details of structures and components. The BIM Manager will also layout and draw schematic views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and structures. Additionally, the position requires reviewing and analyzing specifications, sketches, drawings, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures to be followed. The BIM Manager will modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies, connect with internal and external customers to assess needs, coordinate with team members to ensure quality and schedule maintenance, and create reports to assist other team members. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 or 4 year degree in Architectural Technology, CAD Drafting and Design, or related education.
  • 8+ years of previous experience in structural engineering design.
  • High proficiency operating in Revit/BIM/3D software required.
  • Ability to think critically to solve problems.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple functional groups to coordinate the flow of information.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and business software.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret construction documents to create detailed 3-D models.
  • Develop detailed designs for various structures, specifying dimensions, materials, and procedures.
  • Layout and draw schematic views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and structures.
  • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, and related data.
  • Position instructions, notes, and comments onto drawings.
  • Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies and resolve design problems.
  • Connect with internal and external customers to assess needs and provide accurate deliverables.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure quality and schedule are maintained.
  • Create reports and downloads to assist other team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
