Hardy Corporation is expanding its BIM department and is seeking a new HVAC team member. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a stable and consistent work environment and enjoy performing detailed, accurate work. The role involves preparing shop fabrication drawings and models from rough sketches, red-line markups, or Consultant Engineer's plans using BIM software programs. The successful candidate will visualize and coordinate the graphic presentation of complex construction areas by utilizing Architectural, Structural, and other trades plans. In addition to technical skills, the role requires the ability to recommend design changes based on industry practices or coordination issues, which will be communicated to the BIM Manager and Project Manager. Mentorship is also a key aspect of this position, as the new team member will be expected to guide less experienced BIM personnel by offering suggestions and best practices. Close collaboration with the BIM Manager and Project Manager is essential to obtain project information and ensure that all drawings are accurate and complete. The role also includes performing common basic design and engineering calculations, such as duct and pipe sizing, velocities, and pressure drops. This position is not just about technical expertise; it also emphasizes the importance of core values such as trustworthiness, a positive work ethic, and being a team player. As responsibilities may evolve with training within the BIM department, adaptability and a willingness to learn are crucial for success in this role.
