About The Position

Freese and Nichols is looking for a BIM/CAD Technician in Fort Worth, Texas, Raleigh, North Carolina, or Houston, Texas. As BIM/CAD Technician, you will lead the development of complex BIM/CAD models and drawings while providing technical guidance to junior technicians and ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet project requirements. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience performing CAD functions in a 3D environment
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Aptitude for mathematics and ability to interpret drawings and maps

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in BIM/CAD
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
  • Experience in Structural or Architectural BIM/CAD
  • Basic ACAD knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of complex BIM/CAD models and complete drawing sets including plans, elevations, and detail drawings.
  • Translate rough sketches and verbal direction into detailed construction documents using Revit.
  • Proactively support internal project teams through effective communication and high-quality technical work
  • Support and coordinate with project teams to resolve technical issues
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset to optimize workflows and enhance modeling standards
  • Train and mentor junior technicians in software applications and BIM/CAD best practices
