About The Position

Our employees take pride in the products we make, and many choose a lifetime career here. We are looking for a Bills of Material (BOM) Specialist to join our team in Saint Louis Park, MN. This role is essential in gathering information from subject matter experts in new product design, manufacturing processes, quality, planning, environmental, and finance to build a comprehensive story of how we design, manufacture, package, and sell our products to consumers. This information is stored in our Epicor ERP system within a bill of materials framework. The BOM Specialist will play a highly collaborative and technical role in our unique manufacturing industry. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive BOMs for all products, ensuring that all necessary components, materials, specifications, and assemblies are included. Utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, you will create, update, and manage BOMs, ensuring consistency and alignment across the organization. Maintaining version control of BOMs is crucial to track changes, revisions, and updates throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with engineering changes and updates. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to gather necessary information and ensure BOM accuracy and completeness. Regular audits and reviews of BOMs will be conducted to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or errors, and you will take corrective actions as needed. You will also ensure the accuracy of BOMs by carefully reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation. Additionally, you will provide training and support to internal stakeholders on BOM-related processes, tools, and best practices, while identifying opportunities to optimize BOM structures and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase accuracy. Compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements will be ensured through collaboration with the Compliance Manager.
