Requirements

• Prior experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration is preferred
• Experience in finance, accounting, or administrative roles requiring accuracy and compliance
• Proficiency in billing software, databases or other financial tools
• Strong willingness to learn
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
• Experience with EPIC or another electronic EMR system is preferred

• Communication skills: Ability to clearly communicate with insurance providers, patients, and internal team members

Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting accurate claims to insurance companies, government payers and patients
• Reviewing patient accounts and verifying insurance coverages
• Resolving claim denials, rejections and payment discrepancies
• Posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts
• Maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations including HIPAA
• Communication with patients regarding billing inquiries and providing excellent customer service
• Collaboration with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
