About The Position

The Billing Specialist at Mia Aesthetics is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing patient billing inquiries and processing payments. This role involves handling a high volume of calls, verifying patient information, and ensuring accurate financial transactions in accordance with company protocols. The Billing Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining patient satisfaction and supporting the financial operations of the organization.

• GED or High School Diploma required
• Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• HIPPA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner.
• Interview, obtain, and verify patient information via phone.
• Inform patients or customers of any missed or upcoming payment deadlines.
• Process customer payments per Mia Aesthetics' protocols and procedures.
• Advise patients about financing options and guide them through the payment process.
• Research and respond appropriately to all balance inquiries.
• Generate invoices and conduct financial transactions ensuring they are on track and on time.
• Ensure invoices match contracts for upcoming patient surgeries.
• Audit the data input in the accounting system to ensure the accuracy of the final bill.
• Send links to patients for self-payment online and with Care Credit.
• Gather all proper documentation to process a financing payment.
