Requirements

• Associate degree in Accounting OR High school diploma and two or more years of applicable experience.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience; experience in the engineering, architecture, or construction (AEC) industry is a plus.
• Microsoft Word (basic) and Excel (intermediate).
• Adobe Acrobat (editing and combining PDFs).
• Experience with accounting software (e.g.,Deltek, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closings.
• Support project accounting, including job cost tracking, budget-to-actual variance analysis, and WIP reporting.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules and depreciation.
• Assist with payroll processing and related journal entries.
• Prepare financial reports for management, auditors, and project managers.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor billing and project profitability.
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and other regulatory reporting as needed.
• May remain in stationary position for extended periods.
